William Love trained for over seven years in the nineties as an apprentice with Piers Kettlewell Cabinetmaking, one of Scotland’s most prestigious cabinetmaking companies, and while there, was involved in creating pews and carvings for St Giles Cathedral, and St Margaret’s Chapel in Edinburgh Castle; display cases for Stirling Castle; the Music Room for the House for An Art Lover, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow; repairs for the Charles Rennie Macintosh furniture in the Glasgow School of Art collection.

Since setting up his own company in 1998, William has worked with many award winning architects and artists on bespoke commissions, for Highland Park Distillery and for distinctive bars and restaurants such as Mother India Cafe, Bananamoon, the Bon Accord, and The Poetry Club, Glasgow. Other commissions have included display cabinets for the Burns Museum, for the National Trust for Scotland, in Alloway; the Kilmartin Museum and for large scale award winning redevelopments designed by Cameron & Webster for Tarvie Lodge, Perthshire, and Due West, at Lunga Estate, Lochgilphead.

Other commissioned work includes bespoke projects for the Modern Institute, Glasgow and for some of Scotland’s top visual artists including Cathy Wilkes, Jim Lambie, Luke Fowler, Martin Boyce, Simon Starling, Scott Myles, Jonnie Wilkes, Victoria Morton, Kate Davis, Walker & Bromwich, Jason Bowman, Tatham & O’Sullivan, Janie Nicoll & Ailie Rutherford, and David Mach amongst many others.
